IGEA participates in Business Cooperation Forum
The Institute of Mining Electrical Engineering and Automation took part in the first Business Cooperation Forum which took place on February 8 in Soligorsk. The forum was attended by 12 diplomatic missions accredited in Belarus and trade missions of Hungary, Moldova, Czech Republic, Poland, Cuba, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, and other parties.
At the joint stand of Passat holding the IGEA presented its developments and services for mining companies of Belarus and Russia.
At the forum, Dmitry Bedny, IGEA Technical Director, spoke of import substitution as a trigger for innovations. The IGEA currently offers a wide range of mining equipment, many items of which in due time provided economically or technically feasible alternative to the European brand products exploited by Belaruskali. For example, explosion-proof LED lights provide massive reduction of both purchase cost and operating expenses. Energy saving is prerequisite for comprehensive projects with the IGEA as a system integrator, too. For more than a decade the Institute has been solving such complex mining tasks as ore transportation and winding, or mine venting.
The IGEA officers responsible for export-import transactions attended the consulting workshop on the terms and procedure and typical errors and faults of an international agreement.
