Double victory at ASCON 3D modelling competition

The Institute of Mining Electrical Engineering and Automation won the 12th ASCON 3D modelling contest in two categories:

  • 1st place in category Mechanical engineering: 1000 to 4999 details in assembly for the project of SU-RN PCh/660/250/2 control station with a frequency converter

  • 1st place in category Mechanical engineering: 1000 to 4999 details in assembly for the project of GKRU-RN-6/10 IGEA T series switchgear

The 3D modelling competition has been launched by ASCON group of companies more than 10 years ago. About 100 projects by 47 applicants from Russia and abroad have been submitted this year for the ASCON experts (developers, teachers, КОМПАС-3D support) who minutely examined and assessed each submitted work. The main assessment criteria are complexity of the product or construction object, of its parts and elements, the way to use КОМПАС-3D capabilities and special applications, and project presentation quality. КОМПАС-3D applications are assessed by the complexity of performed task, user-friendliness, look, reliability, quality of help documents.

Besides the 1st place diplomas, IGEA’s projects received a number of valuable awards: People’s Choice diploma, hardware and software warrants, and others.

It was not the first IGEA’s victory at the prestigious competition: in 2007 the project of a control station for a face conveyor and two gate conveyors was awarded a diploma for the comprehensive approach to designing electrical equipment.

Thank you, ASCON experts, for the high appraisal of the submitted projects! We are proud of the victory!
