Belarusian Potash Company to sign contract with China

Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) is going to sign a potash sales contract with China by the end of 2009, BPC General Director Vladimir Nikolaenko told reporters on October 16.

According to the CEO, this year Belarus has not made any shipments of fertilizers to China as Chinese producers were fully stocked. But the demand is expected to revive soon. “We plan to keep the volume of export to China in 2010 at the level of 2008, around 860,000 tons,” Vladimir Nikolaenko admitted.
