Advantages

Unlike air-insulated switchgear, these feature vacuum arc chutes within sealed welded stainless steel reservoirs pressurised with SF6 gas to provide double insulation for live parts.

Sealed SF6 reservoirs provide:

  • Insensibility to aggressive ambient (salt water, air humidity, dust, temperature)

  • Prevention of foreign matter penetration (dust, debris, small animals)

  • High resistance to arc fault due to interrogation interlocks and proven sealing

  • 100% safety for service personnel to access the primary sealed enclosure

  • OPEX free switching elements and fully insulated cable adapter based connection system to improve operating personnel safety and to avoid SF6 gas handling while installing, expanding, or replacing the equipment. Time before maintenance (TBM) of the applied power switches is 10,000 switching cycles.

  • Ready-for-use switchgear with a sealed metal container and metal partitions, for indoor applications

  • Stainless steel gas-tight welded reservoir

  • SF6 insulated switchbox

  • Single-pole insulation for cable connections and bus bars

  • No SF6 gas handling while installing or expanding the switchgear

  • Silicon resin insulated screened bus bar system

  • Cable connections of the front and back by plug adapters

  • Maintenance-free
